Objective: Execute warm-up exercises using correct body alignment.
Competency: The student can identify healthy lifestyles and dance conditioning as it relates to dance.
Activity: Ask participants to find a comfortable seated position on their mats, with their spine tall and their shoulders relaxed, and engage in a 15-minute guided meditation. Following the meditation, ask students to stand up and mirror their stretch sets to learn about the importance of warming up.
Assessment: Informal, through positive reinforcements and corrections.
